Beginning care is simple.
You can request an appointment directly through our secure client portal. Once submitted, our team will review your information, verify any applicable insurance benefits, and follow up to confirm your appointment and next steps.

Session fees vary depending on the provider, service type, level of care and insurance coverage. Rates will be clearly reviewed with you prior to your first appointment so you can make an informed decision that feels right for you.
Typical private pay ranges may include:
Individual Therapy Sessions: $75–$200
Couples & Family Therapy Sessions $200–$350
Specialized Therapy Sessions: $175–$300
Medication Management Initial Psychiatric Evaluations: approximately $200–$350
Medication Management Follow-Up Appointments: approximately $100–$250
Neuropsychological or Psychological Testing Services: $300–$800
Payment is collected at the time of service, and we are happy to discuss fees, out-of-network benefits, and available options to help you find the best fit for your care.

We accept select insurance plans and offer private pay options.
If you plan to use insurance, your benefits will be verified through our system prior to your first session. You will be notified of any copays, deductibles, or out-of-pocket costs before services begin. Please note that coverage varies by plan and is not guaranteed.
All payments, including copays, coinsurance, and private pay fees, are securely processed through our HIPAA-compliant client portal using the card you have on file.

Tangled Roots uses a secure, HIPAA-compliant client portal powered by SimplePractice. Through the portal, you can:
Complete intake forms and consent documents
Schedule and manage appointments
Access telehealth sessions
Communicate securely with your provider
View invoices and make payments
For current clients, all communication should take place through the secure portal to protect your privacy.

We kindly ask for at least 48 hours’ notice for any cancellations or rescheduling requests. Changes made outside of this window may be subject to a late cancellation fee, as this time is reserved specifically for you.

We believe that meaningful care should feel within reach.
Tangled Roots offers a limited number of sliding scale and reduced-fee appointments based on individual need and provider availability. Sliding scale rates are determined on a case-by-case basis and are not guaranteed.
In addition, we maintain a Rooted Healing Fund, an internal, privately managed fund used to help offset the cost of services for clients experiencing financial hardship. This fund is supported through voluntary contributions and collected funds within our practice.
Tangled Roots is a privately owned, for-profit practice and is not a nonprofit organization. Contributions to the Rooted Healing Fund are voluntary, are not tax-deductible, and do not establish a charitable organization or status.
All funds are distributed at the discretion of Tangled Roots and are subject to availability. Eligibility for sliding scale, reduced-fee services, or fund-supported sessions is not guaranteed.
