BIPOC THERAPY

At Tangled Roots, we recognize that healing does not happen in a vacuum. For individuals who identify as Black, Indigenous, or People of Color (BIPOC), mental health is often shaped by lived experiences that include systemic inequities, cultural expectations, intergenerational patterns, and identity-based stress.

These experiences can show up as anxiety, burnout, trauma, code-switching fatigue, or feeling unseen or misunderstood in spaces that were not designed with you in mind.

We believe therapy should be a space where you don’t have to explain or minimize your identity. A space where your story is honored, your experiences are validated, and your healing is approached with cultural awareness, humility, and respect.

HOW THERAPY CAN HELP

BIPOC therapy offers a space to process your experiences in a way that feels safe, affirming, and empowering. Together, we may explore:

  • Navigating racial stress, microaggressions, and systemic challenges

  • Processing trauma, including intergenerational and cultural trauma

  • Exploring identity, belonging, and self-worth

  • Reducing burnout, anxiety, and emotional exhaustion

  • Unlearning harmful narratives and strengthening your voice

  • Building boundaries and reclaiming a sense of self

Our goal is to support you in feeling seen, grounded, and empowered, so you can move through the world with greater clarity, confidence, and connection to who you are.
